The project designed on the plot of Camí dels Castellans de Jávea, aims to adapt to the topography of the plot, with a steep slope, and an elongated shape, placing the building on the widest part of the plot, which is the one that enjoys better views, since from that point we can get to observe the sea.

It is intended to compose the building with two clearly differentiated bodies, on the one hand a basement element, which is completely open on three of its four sides, and that emerges as a framing element of the landscape. This base body, houses the rooms that make up the day area of the house, such as the living room, kitchen-laundry room, a toilet, and a guest room with bathroom.

The large windows give a great visual perspective to the house. It is a “dematerialized” body, since three of its four sides are perforated by the accesses or by the large windows, which make the interior of the house merge with the exterior and make the distant landscape approach an absolute priority of the architecture.

Volumetrically, these bodies adapt the building to the regulations of Jávea that forces 50% of the building to be built with an inclined roof. This mandatory aesthetic condition of the building, becomes a compositional gesture, which gives the upper floor a great dynamism, since each volume has a different slope.
